Edit, complete, cancel, or delete a schedule
Update a schedule and keep its status accurate.
4 min read
Tap a schedule in Calendar to open its details. From there, you can edit what you entered or change the schedule to completed or canceled.
Manage the schedule status
- Edit: Change the date, time, or saved details.
- Complete: Mark a finished schedule or job as complete.
- Cancel: Keep a record of a schedule that will no longer happen.
- Restore: Return a completed or canceled schedule to its upcoming state.
- Delete: Remove a schedule you no longer need to keep.
Complete or cancel instead of deleting
Completed and canceled schedules remain available in search and history. Deletion cannot be undone, so completing a job is usually the better choice when you want to keep its record.
Choose the status that tells the story
- Use Complete when the appointment or job finished as planned.
- Use Cancel when it did not happen because plans changed.
- Use Restore when a status was changed by mistake, then set the correct status.
- Use Delete only when the record itself is unnecessary, such as a duplicate or test schedule.
