Use the work timer and record a start location
Keep the time spent on a job and the location where the timer started.
4 min read
When a work form includes the timer, you can track job time from the schedule detail screen.
Use the timer
- 01
Start from the work schedule
Open the job you are about to work on and start its timer.
- 02
Continue your work
You can move around the app and still see that a timer is running.
- 03
Stop when the job is done
The start time, end time, and measured duration are saved with the schedule.
If you allow location access, ILJI can also save where the timer was started. It does not continuously track your route while you work.
Habits for accurate timer records
- Start the timer from the schedule for the job you are actually beginning.
- Before traveling to another site, check that no previous timer is still running.
- If breaks should be excluded, agree on a consistent rule with the team.
- Before completion, compare the end time and duration with the work you actually performed.
- When a start location matters, make sure location access and the device's location feature are available as you start.
