Transfer ownership and leave a team safely
Choose a new owner, hand over your work, and then leave the team.
5 min read
A team owner should hand management to another member before leaving. After transfer, the new owner manages members and future ownership changes, while the previous owner becomes a regular member.
Before choosing a new owner
- Confirm that the person will remain in the team and continue managing it.
- Make sure they understand team schedules, shared forms, and member management.
- Explain work in progress and any planned team-setting changes.
- Decide whether to finish your assigned schedules or hand them to someone else.

The new owner appears and you become a regular member.

Hand over your assigned work
Update upcoming and recurring schedules with the appropriate assignees.
- 04
Choose Leave team in team settings
Leave only after you no longer need access to its records.
What changes after leaving
You lose access to the calendar and its schedules, and they disappear from overlay and Assigned to me. If other members remain, the existing schedules and work records stay with the team.
